Indian Telly Technical Awards: The ‘stars’ behind the beautiful looks of our favourite celebrities

Indian Telly Technical Awards

MUMBAI: Every actor says that their makeup dada or didi is the reason for their beautiful looks on screen. And it is not as easy as it looks. In fact, it’s one of the most difficult jobs to do.

For example, consider the many mythological serials that are currently on air. Notice the transformation of the actors from their real life to reel lives.

Unfortunately, make-up artists are not often acknowledged or mentioned when a character achieves success. To transform an actor into a character takes hours, and makeup and hairstyle are the key factors.

Almost all bahus of Indian television are known for their special looks in their respective serial, from Sudha Chandran to Urvashi Dholakia. The roles were iconic and the looks became very popular.

Make-up artists are also a very important part of Bollywood and make challenging characters look believable.

It’s sad that they don’t receive due recognition. To honour them, IndianTelevision.com introduces the 15th edition of our annual Indian Telly Technical Trade and Programming Awards, which recognize the best in television production, editing, writing, direction, distribution, and creation.
