Indira Krishnan is winning hearts as Paani Bai in Durga says, "It's been tough but the love I'm getting from my audience is inspiring me."

MUMBAI: Actress Indira Krishnan is winning hearts for her role of Paani Bai in the television show, Durga – Atoot Prem Kahani. The show stars Aashay Mishra and Pranali Rathod in lead roles. The show post telecast is receiving a lot of positive feedback for the role of Paani Bai, be it for her dialogues, looks or acting. Indira, is once again winning hearts.

Indira remains to be audience favourite since a long time. Audience still remembers her for series Krishnaben Khakhrawala (2010) as Krishna Ben, and Krishnadasi (2016) as Kumudini. She also featured in popular serials like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Saavi Ki Savaari among others.

She said, "For me every role has been special. But if I talk about Paani Bai, feels I manifested this. After watching 1999's bollywood movie Godmother featuring talented and beautiful Shabana Azmi as Rambhi, I wished to play something similar someday on television and break the stereotype barrier. And by God Grace my dream comes true with Paani Bai. She's bold, straight forward, clever, self made and loud too. It's a very strong and challenging role any actor would enjoy essaying."

The actress talks about preparing herself for the role. She added, "The role of Paani Bai is very special because of the inputs, like I'm essaying the role by changing my voice and speaking Rajasthani. It's been tough but the love I'm getting from my audience is inspiring me. I'm looking forward to challenge myself more."

She continued, "I'm thankful to ColorsTV for everytime giving me the opportunity to perform brilliant roles and I'm grateful to my tutor Rohit Vyas, who was helping me with the language and culture in my last show Dhruva Tara, and he continues to make me perform amazingly in this show too. Rest I don't give up easily and but my 100 percent. I'm sure this role will add stars in my filmography."

Drawing difference between her previous role Rajmata Durgavati in Dhruv Tara – Samay Sadi Se Pare and Paani Bai. She shared, "Durgavati was a royal and dignified role but currently Paani Bai is more tribal. Audience will witness with every episodes how daring and smart Paani Bai is. I'm enjoying my journey in Durga."

On professional front Indira Krishnan will be seen in upcoming Bollywood movie Ramayana. She also earned immense popularity for her role in blockbuster movie Animal.
