Popular actor Indraneil Sengupta talks about the pros-cons of being married to an actor
Indraneil Sengupta and Barkha Bisht

Wise men have rightly said, “Happy is the man who finds a true friend, and far happier is he who finds that true friend in his wife.”

And it stands right for the dashing Indraneil Sengupta and his wife Barkha Bisht.

Unlike the ‘usual’ husbands, we found Indraneil supporting his wife at her show Naamkarann’s launch recently. Keeping a low profile, he let his wife bask in all the adulation and limelight.

Barkha and Indraneil, met on the sets of their first show, Pyaar Ke Do Naam: Ek Raadha, Ek Shyaam. Soon a close friendship developed which sparked into a strong affair. The couple got married in March, 2008. They were blessed with an angel Meera in October 2011. And we must add that they both are such doting parents.

Always a pleasure to chat with, we got into a candid conversation with Indraneil wherein he shared about his life, work, family, upcoming projects and more...

We causally asked him what are the pros and cons of getting married to an actor. Smilingly, he answered it like he had memorised the answer in his mind. It was simple, straight and very relatable.

We thus decided to share what Indraneil told us. Here read on....

“I don’t think there are any cons of being married to an actor. And thankfully there are quite a few pros,” he floored us with his honest statement.

“I have always found a woman with a career of her own really attractive. I would have thus opted for a working woman as my wife. God has been kind to have given me a partner like Barkha who is a true epitome of my ‘molded’ fantasy of a wife.”

“As actors, we understand each others’ erratic work schedules. We understand each other much better in every way. Also we both have similar tastes and as partners we discuss books, movies, shows- it is like she is a part of me only,” Indraneil went on.

He further added, “Another part that is great is we get to spend all our times together. Be it working out or partying, we are always beside each other and that keeps us going stronger. We have the same circle of friends, we enjoy doing similar things, so it is like the best thing that could happen to us.”

Woaaah! That’s how this man keeps us falling in love with him.

Indraneil, we wish you and Barkha and of course little Meera, the happiest times ahead.
