Initially, I had no plans of becoming a Dream Girl: Nikita Dutta

Actress Nikita Dutta, currently seen on Life OK’s show Dream Girl, is definitely one happy soul, who is passionate about her work and is currently focusing on the show to make it a successful one. With her brilliant performance on screen, recently we spoke to her about her journey, her dreams and the experience of working in the industry. Read on to know what she said. The lovely lady, who started her career in the glamour world from Miss India contest shared about her journey of becoming an actor. “Unlike my character Lakshmi I had no plans to be a part of the entertainment industry or be a Dream Girl; I was studying Economics honours in my college. And like every other student I was also preparing for campus placements and further studies.” “Somehow I participated in a local beauty pageant event, which was directly connected to Miss India contest and I ended up participating in the big ticket show. After that I appeared for my university exam also, but by that time I was made up my mind that I want to pursue a career in this profession only. After that I started anchoring and finally did a film and then when I received the chance of doing a show, I grabbed it,” added Nikita. We quizzed the young woman about her experience of doing a television show after a film and the lady quickly replied, “Having worked in both the mediums I feel that television is much more hectic and stressful. In case of films once a movie is done, nothing can be changed, but for a daily it is a continuous process. With audiences regularly watching you and critically analyzing your work, television can become pressurizing at times. But, in terms of work quality I would say that television has helped me much more to learn about acting than movies.” Nikita, who is currently focusing on her career, also mentioned that with a hard working cast and crew like her show, she is not focusing on any long term plan now.
