MUMBAI: The hunk said, “Quitting the show has been the most difficult decision of my career so far. I am so disappointed and heartbroken. My character, which is currently being projected as a positive guy in front of the Gill family, was all set to showcase his true colours and turn negative. I was waiting to play the negative shade. But I have had to leave the show with a heavy heart. Unlike in a new show, where it takes time to prove yourself, Choti Sarrdaarni was an established show, so I had the chance to work on my character and not worry about the ratings.”
The actor tried to work things out with the production house, but it wasn’t possible to take a week-long break amidst the shoot. He shares, “It’s circumstantial and no one is at fault. We don’t have a bank of episodes and hence, I had no choice, but to quit the show. The makers will finalise another artiste to play the part now. I wish there was a way out and that I could have got leave for a few days. But that wasn’t possible and I needed to be with my family at this point. I will be back in a week’s time and look for a new project.”
