MUMBAI: Smita Bansal is a well-known actress. Her powerful acting has wowed everyone and she has an impressive fan following.
She was recently seen playing a positive character of a doting mother in Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga. She is currently showcasing her motherly avatar in Bhagya Lakshmi, albeit in a different shade. Talking about the same, she told ETimesTV, “While in Aladdin I played a doting mother and a righteous woman, my character in Bhagya Lakshmi is of a mother, who loves her son obsessively.”
During the same interview, the ace actress revealed she loves to take short breaks in between projects to spend quality time with her family. “After a show ends, I always take a break because daily soaps can be taxing. I am never desperate to take up a show. An offer has to excite me and tick all the boxes. Kabhi director achha hota hai, team achhi hoti hai, timings work out ho jaate hain. There are so many factors that govern my decision to take up a daily show. When that happens, I believe that it’s meant to be and I go ahead,” she said.
Also, Smita Bansal shared she is happy with her on-screen image and doesn’t want to break away from it. She says, “I am content with my on-screen image and don’t want to break it. I like the way people look at me… I get a lot of respect from them. Their perception of me is of a loving mother or an elder sister, which I am happy with. The respect the audience gives me comes from the characters I play on screen. So, why would I want to lose it? I don’t want to challenge it or break away from it.”
