MUMBAI: Lohri, a festival that ignites the spirit of warmth, joy, and togetherness, is a time to celebrate life’s blessings and cherished traditions.On this festive occasion, actor Lakshay Khurana, who plays the role of Aditya in Ishq Jabariya on Sun Neo, shares his celebration plans, favorite memories, and what makes Lohri so special for him.
Opening up about his love for the festival, Lakshay Khurana shared, “Lohri holds a special place in my heart because it celebrates the warmth of family and community. It’s all about coming together, lighting the bonfire, and enjoying traditional treats. The festival reminds me of my roots and the importance of being thankful for the harvest and all the good things in life.”
The Ishq Jabariya actor further added, “I love celebrating Lohri with close friends and family. We gather around the bonfire, sing traditional songs, and dance to the beats of the dhol. Sweets like gajak and rewri are a must! This year, I’ll be shooting for Ishq Jabariya on Sun Neo and will celebrate with my reel-life family. Even though I'm away from home, the festive spirit will surely make the day special. It’s all about finding warmth wherever we are."
When asked about his favorite part of the festival, the talented actor recalled, “One of my fondest memories is from my childhood. My cousins and I would gather around the bonfire, dancing and enjoying the festivities. The laughter and excitement were contagious, and it felt like nothing could beat the happiness of those moments."
He concluded, “For me, the best part of Lohri is the warmth of the bonfire. It symbolizes new beginnings and the light we bring into each other's lives. The laughter, dance, and shared moments make it a festival I truly look forward to every year.”
