Isn't it time Kartik and Naira become PROGRESSIVE as a COUPLE?

MUMBAI: Star Plus has an interesting line-up of television shows, and one of them happens to be Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

A major reason for the show’s success has to be relevance, as the audience can easily connect with the characters and rollercoaster of emotions that they go through. The entire nation wept along with Kartik and Naira as they were separated and met again in the Goenka house.

While Kartik and Naira are going through a sea of emnotions, more so because of the entire custody case and Vedika’s position in Kartik’s life, are Kartik and Naira really playing a progressive couple?

Kriti Kumar, who is a housewife, said, 'I think the situations are so complex that Kartik and Naira are bound to behave a little restrained and reserved. But yes, if they are projecting a couple from the practical world, they should be shown progressive and dealing with the situations they face very maturely.'

Ekta Mehta, a law student, shares, 'Naira firstly should not be staying or even occupying space in Kartik’s life. If she made a decision to leave him and raise her son for so many years, why is it that she is back? Yes, entertainment is a key note, but in reality, this is impossible.'

Aishwarya Iyer, an IT professional, averred, 'I do not think there is anything wrong, and the show has always been a progressive one. The way Kartik and Naira are portrayed is just perfect.'
