Being the host of a crime show is not easy, especially when the stories are based on real-life incidents. Savdhaan India’s host Ashutosh Rana shared his experience on how he was emotionally disturbed after hearing a particular story.
The story revolves around a family in which the father used to chain his wife and daughters and lock them up at home to protect them from the increasing crimes on women. While he cared for them, he believed locking them up was the best option.
When asked about his experience narrating this story to the audience, Ashutosh said, ‘I was really disturbed after hearing this story, as here, the criminal in unaware that his actions are not helping but harassing his loved ones. Somewhere, the society has to be blamed for such incidents, and it is crucial to bring in changes. He should have educated the family and made them aware of the crimes instead of locking them at home. It is necessary to spread awareness about different nature of crimes, so that people understand them when they go through similar situations.’
