Controversy seems to have become the middle name of Jjhoom India. Reputations have taken a beating left, right and center. Under the gun again is mercurial mentor Vinod Rathod. And firing the shots is a new sharpshooter, Ananth Vaidhyanathan, Jjhoom India's resident voice trainer. It's needless to say that Roshni Chopra didn't let go of the opportunity to settle scores with her mentor Vinod.

In yesterday's episode, Roshni got eliminated but the real drama took place earlier. At the beginning of the episode, Ananth Vaidyanathan lashed out at the mentors who he felt weren't honest in their task. He didn't hesitate to name Vinod, who was quick to defend himself. When she was eliminated; Roshni heaped praises on Ananth saying that it was he who was her real mentor and without him she wouldn't have reached here. Needless to say that this angered Vinod.
When contacted Vinod had this to say, "Such controversies have been a regular feature on Jjhoom India. In fact, not many people are even aware of this show. You can't humiliate reputed singers such as me. Mr.Vaidynathan was looking to hog the limelight and so he chose to be in front of the camera".
When asked to respond to his disciple Roshni's comments, Vinod chided "I'm glad that I'm done with this show. I don't want to comment on it any further."
Ananth Vaidyanathan didn't mince any words in his criticism of Vinod. "Vinod deserves absolutely no credit for Roshni's success. He left her in the lurch more than once. In fact, he used to not be present for the two-hourly rehearsals. Vinod merely came to the show and took his money".
It just wasn't Vinod who invoked Ananth's ire. Apparently, other mentors too were critical of his role. Says Ananth, "As a voice trainer, my role is to lend my expertise to the actors. It's just not the mentors who have to look after the actors. The mentors and I had to work in a partnership. Unfortunately, that never happened. Last week, Varun asked me for help and I obliged but this infuriated Akriti. The mentors kept talking ill about me and it was time that I stood up."
Akriti was unavailable for comment.
