Iyer and Babita to move out of Gokuldham

Iyer and Babita will be moving out of Gokuldham Society in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. A source says, “Iyer has got a promotion and Babita will be very happy about the news till he breaks the news of them shifting to another city. Iyer gets a higher post but will have to shift to Chennai. He will explain this to Babita but she will get upset about leaving the Gokuldham Society. It’s only after a lot of persuasion that she agrees. When the society members get to know about it, they get upset too, especially Jethalal who gets disturbed completely as he does not mind Iyer leaving the society but he doesn’t want Babita to leave with him. “But they will leave the society and move to Chennai though they promise to visit Gokuldham once in a while. This is going to be a major turning point in the show. Whether Babita and Iyer will be kept away from the show after this track or if they will be brought back is what hasn’t been decided yet.” Munmun Dutta aka Babita says, “Yes, Iyer will get a promotion but I can’t comment on it.” Producer Asit Modi says, "They are leaving the society because of Iyer’s transfer to Chennai, now how it will affect the society members is to be seen. Whether they will live like a happy big family once again or will there be a dispute or whether Iyer and Babita will be back is something we are working on.”
