MUMBAI: People frequently associate the entertainment industry with red carpets, glamour, and glamour. However, players endure daily hurdles, a great deal of hard labour, and dedication behind the stunning costumes and spectacular lights. In Ishq Jabariya on Sun Neo, Dipshikkha Nagppal, who portrays Devi Sahay, illuminates the lesser-known challenges of acting.
"People only see the glamorous side of the entertainment industry," says Dipshikkha Nagppal. They say, "Oh wow, you get to go to events, you get so many things." However, they fail to recognise the effort that goes into it. We work twelve or sometimes fourteen hours a day, especially in television. We go to far places in isolated regions, just like I do for my current Sun Neo show, Ishq Jabariya, where I have to go a great distance and film for hours on end while still looking new on TV. Because episodes have to be televised on time, there is a great deal of strain.
"Let me give you an example, forget TV for a moment," the Ishq Jabariya actress continues, sharing an experience from a previous project. We were in the coal mines, aiming towards Koyla. Both a phone network and adequate amenities were absent. At 4 AM, the entire unit would get up, travel to the site, and labour under harsh circumstances. Even decent places to sleep were lacking. I still recall Shahrukh Khan sleeping with just a pillow on top of the coal-extracting machine. We resembled highly compensated workers! The work was really difficult.
The compelling love story Ishq Jabariya, which premieres on Sun Neo at 7:30 PM, revolves around Gulki, a driven young lady with lofty goals.
