Chandani Sharma plays the role of Arshi and does it so well that we can very easily see the hatred for her character in the comment sections of various social media posts even related to Jhanak. All that tells us is how amazingly she is doing her job that even the audience is convinced about it.

In an exclusive interview with Tellychakkar, Chandani Sharma was asked about the responses for her character and how she looks at it. Talking about the character she is playing, Chandani gave a fair response, giving a proper justification and a clear perspective towards the character.

Chandani Sharma said, “The thing is, as an actor, if I don’t have conviction in my character, even if I’m playing Raavan, I should be convinced to play Raavan or else I won’t be able to justify it.”

Talking about her character, the actress said, “...If I’m playing Arshi, I should have conviction in the character. Of course I’m not a possessed person, there are many flaws to Arshi’s character, and she is a negative/grey character. She’s not as pious as Anirudh or Jhanak for that matter. She’s grey and very upfront, she doesn’t care ke sahi kya hai aur galat kya hai. For her, what is right is right because she had a picture, a fairytale in her mind that I have a boyfriend, Anirudh, I’m taking him to my nani ka ghar in Kashmir, and then it’s going to be a fairytale wedding and everything falls apart. So I’m not blaming anyone but whatever the circumstances were, her cousin and would-be-husband fall in love. So her rage is justified. Her anger is justified. Her (behaviour) of not trusting Jhanak with anything, with her child, or Anirudh, or with anything, is justified.”
