MUMBAI: We all have dual roles in our lives, transitioning from work to home with children, and balancing time with friends. Playing dual roles can sometimes take a toll on us. This challenge is not just prevalent in real life but also in reel life. We have witnessed several versatile actors portraying dual roles that completely captivate us. One such example is Vibhav Roy from "Shaitani Rasmein," playing the roles of Piyush, a kind-hearted individual, and Malik, an evil soul. The way his character shifts each time he embodies these contrasting roles speaks volumes about his struggles and efforts while portraying these complex characters.
Vibhav shares his transition story from Piyush to Malik, "I began with Piyush, a character who believed strongly in peace and love. Transitioning to Malik's role, who is completely evil, negative, and powerful, presented a significant contrast. Understanding that these characters are poles apart, I faced challenges in incorporating both into myself while keeping them distinct. It was a struggle initially, as I had to ensure the previous character's traits faded away when embodying the new one. This experience was enlightening, new, and amazing for me."
He continues, "As Piyush undergoes his transition, confusion ensues in the entire household. Personally, juggling between these two roles has been incredibly enjoyable. Playing Maalik makes me feel powerful, and I will surely miss portraying him once it's over. Moving forward, the audience can expect unexpected twists and turns, keeping them on the edge of their seats. This character has taught me a great deal as an actor, and I feel privileged for the opportunity. Hopefully, I will continue to explore such roles if given the chance in the future."
