MUMBAI: Mumbai was severely pounded by heavy rain last night (September 26), which submerged low-lying neighbourhoods, stopped local trains in their tracks, and forced at least 14 incoming planes to be diverted.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) also said that all of the city's schools and institutions will be closed today (September 26) in the

Additionally, the civic council has asked residents to leave their houses only when absolutely essential.

The rains not only affected the common people and their routine life but also celebrities who were stuck on their shoot locations and others who were trying to make it back home.

Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye actor Sriti Jha and Arjit Taneja, who play the role of Amruta and Virat and are dearly shipped by fans in the character names as #AmVira were also spotted trying to make it through the flooded water logged in their travel route.

Sriti was seen walking in the dirty water with an umbrella in her hand while the roads were jammed with a lot of traffic.
