Kanchi Singh, the adorable Gayu of Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Director’s Kut) is the next to have a hospital visit!! 

Well, as we know, Yeh Rishta actress Hina Khan was hospitalized after being diagnosed with kidney stones. We now hear of Kanchi’s hospitalization. 

News coming in is that Kanchi suffered from viral fever and severe headache few days back, post which she got better with medication. All of a sudden she started to have red spots all over her body, a sort of skin aberration that caused severe itching.

We hear from the sets of the show that Kanchi had to get hospitalized yesterday morning (28 August) as the spots started to spread. 

A source states, “Kanchi underwent all possible blood tests to rule out dengue. Her platelet count and all other reports are normal. The doctors see the spots to be a kind of after-reaction to the viral illness that she suffered few days back. She has been advised proper medication.”

When we talked to Kanchi, the girl sounding weak told us that she is actually in the midst of getting herself discharged from hospital. “Yes, I have been in hospital from yesterday. All happened so all of a sudden. I developed skin infection on my body, and the itch has been severe. In fact, I had to take an injection to ease the itching. Thankfully, all the reports are normal. I just need to take care and take my medicines. I am directly heading to my Yeh Rishta set as I am needed there. The production house has been extremely co-operative in the hour of need.”

Well, we also hear that this is the very first time that Kanchi has ever gotten hospitalized...
