TV actress Malvi Malhotra, who was stabbed by a knife months ago, revealed in an interview that Kangana Ranaut never came forward after promising help. She mentioned that she waited for help from the Thalaivi actress, but nothing happened.

MUMBAI: TV actress Malvi Malhotra made it to the headlines last year when she was stabbed by a stalker. In October last year, the Udaan actress had been stabbed thrice by the accused, Yogesh Mahipal Singh, for allegedly turning down his advances. Back then, after the incident, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut had come out in her support and also promised to help. In an interview now, Manvi revealed that Kangana Ranaut never came forward after promising help. She mentioned that she waited for help from the Thalaivi actress, but nothing happened.

Manvi Malhotra shared that she had a lot of faith in Kangana after she extended her help and support her on social media. She said, "I had a lot of faith in Kangana and I believed that she will come forward to help me and fight against this issue. So I requested one of the doctors taking care of me to record a video and put it in the public domain. The same day Kangana tweeted about it. She was targeting the industry and nepotism but she tweeted that she will come and help me and fight for me in this case." The actress added, “But after that, when I got discharged, I was waiting for her to come forward and help but nothing happened."

Malvi also expressed her disappointment and revealed that there was no one from Ranaut’s team as well to help her in dire times. The actress then shared that it was, actor turned politician Urmila Matondkar who helped her. Malhotra mentioned that the politician was with her from the very beginning, supporting her. She said, “At the same time, Urmila Ji helped me a lot. I was not expecting this from her. But she was helping me from the very start of this incident. I got to know later on that she also called someone in the police and asked them to take care of this case.

Meanwhile, back in October last year, immediately after the incident, Kangana Ranaut had made a tweet slamming the film industry. In her tweet, she told Malvi that she is with her and prays for her as well. The actress had also tagged National Commission for Women chairperson Rekha Sharma and demanded immediate actions to be taken against the culprit. Ranaut had spoken about nepotism during the incident.
