Karan Mehra and Hina Khan have always shared a "professional relationship"

In an industry where link-ups among daily show lead actors are a commonplace, the very popular on screen pair of Karan Mehra and Hina Khan of Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai seems to be among the few exceptions to the rule. Karan, who is in a happy long term relationship with model turned actress Nisha Rawal, says, “I am very professional actor and this is what I have learnt in my ten years of being in this field. After my shoot is over, I withdraw quietly to my make-up room and do others things what I like. I don’t mix up with any one in particular. I am quite reserved as a person. This is the best way for one’s dignity and respect is not compromised.” He continues, “Hina and I have always shared a professional and cordial relationship since the last four years and that what has come on the screen as a excellent chemistry.” So do you guys meet after work like friends? “I like to keep my professional and personal life apart. I never hang around with people from work. I rather spend time with my personal friends or Nisha.” He also rejects the common defense given by my actors that working together in close proximity and doing certain types of scenes naturally bring leads together. “I am a different type of person and I don’t feel that you need real feelings to emote in those kinds of scenes. I am very happy with Nisha for she stood by me when I was nothing and hence we will always be together.” Well said, Karan!!!
