MTV Sound Trippin, an original, homegrown format, conceptualized and owned by MTV, has stolen millions of hearts since its inception and has become synonymous to being the most unique musical show on Indian television. Adding a new dimension to the second season of this interesting concept, MTV has passed on the baton to continue this journey of sound to song to none other than music biggies, Karsh Kale and Nucleya.
The duo comes together to co-host MTV Sound Trippin Season 2 25 August 2013, every Sunday at 8pm.
The Indian-American music composer, Karsh Kale said, “I am extremely thrilled to be part of MTV Sound Trippin. I have worked with MTV in the past when I did my episode of Coke Studio@MTV and I am sure it’s going to be a fun journey. I am also very pleased to work with Nucleya as he brings a completely young and fresh sound to the collaboration. I hope the fans of the show like our work”
Udyan Sagar, the brainchild of Nucleya said, "MTV Sound Trippin is an immensely popular show and being a part of it is definitely an honor for me. This is the first time I am working with Karsh Kale who is undoubtedly one of the best musicians in the country. He has created a niche for himself and it will be exciting to see what we create together.”
Sneha Khanwalkar who enchanted the audience with the first outing of MTV Sound Trippin, also commenced the second season of this musical journey. As Season 1 dabbled with capturing sounds from different places that best represented them, season 2 turned the concept around where the show visited different places in search of one kind of sound. Taking the show’s legacy forward, both Karsh Kale and Nucleya will bring to fore their fresh take in next episodes of the season. Their search in pursuit for authentic sounds will revolve around themes such as Healing – Dharamshala, Monsoon – Shanti Niketan & Strength – Kerala.
Speaking about Karsh Kale and Nucleya coming together for MTV Sound Trippin, Aditya Swamy, EVP and Business Head, MTV India said, "We are constantly looking for format breakers and wanted to present Sound Trippin through a different lens. Having worked with Karsh before, we knew he loves to break away and do experimental stuff and teaming up with Nucleya means a whole new approach to the concept. They also connect with a very different set of music lovers and that will only grow the following for the show. ..Looking forward to trippin on their sound."
