Legal battles and controversies seem to have marred the first fortnight of the New Year when it comes to the hot and happening news in the telly world.
After the infamous legal battle between Parth Samthaan and Vikas Gupta, followed by Mandana Karimi’s legal issues with Balaji Motion Pictures, it’s time for ace comedian Kiku Sharda to get into some legal trouble.
Yes, the talented actor has been arrested, is what we have been informed.
As per the reports, few days back the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda religious sect filed a complaint against Kiku Sharda for hurting their religious sentiments by imitating their leader Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on his show, Comedy Nights With Kapil (Colors). Post the incident, it is believed that the Haryana police registered a complaint against Kiku under section 295 A of the Indian Penal Code (outraging religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious belief).
After the incident though, Kiku didn’t release any official statement in the media, but he apologized to Gurmeet Ram Rahim on twitter.
Here is his tweet...
Doston the act on TV was not to hurt anyone's feelings. My apologies to @Gurmeetramrahim ji and his followers. Let's spread happiness.
