Ribbhuu who was last seen in Bindiya Sarkaar said, “Kirtida was my first friend in the industry and we grew closer during the pandemic. We believed that our romance could last into a strong marriage after a brief courtship. But as time went on, we discovered we had compatibility problems.”
He added, “Expectations shift with marriage, and even though we tried to resolve our issues, we realized it wasn't working. Kirtida thought it was preferable that we were friends too. After talking it over with our families, they realized that living apart was necessary to ensure our happiness.”
He adds, “I am glad we decided to end things on mutual terms before it turned ugly. It was the best decision for both of us. When a marriage isn’t working, it’s better to part ways amicably.”
Kirtida on the other hand said, “Ribbhuu and I wanted different things from our marriage. However, there is no bitterness, and our friendship and respect remain intact. I think it is because of our long-standing friendship that we were able to handle this situation with maturity. We still talk when we meet, and there is no awkwardness. It was sad at first, but I have no regrets. We got married because we wanted to, but when we realised we couldn’t be together, we ended it before things became worse. I’m grateful it happened this way, instead of dragging it out and causing unnecessary hurt.”

Ribbhuu further added, “It does take time to adjust because it is still fresh. Shaadi toh shaadi hoti hai, bohot saare emotions jude hote hain uske saath. We were friends for eight years before we got married. When we met again, we discussed ki aisa socha nahi tha ki hoga. But I am glad we ended it on good terms and kept the essence of our friendship. I have a lot of respect for Kirtida, and we wish each other happiness.”
