Kunal Ganjawala hits a note on Ek Main...

Sa Re Ga Ma discovery Kunal Ganjawala is this week's guest judge for the current Zee TV musical talent hunt show, Ek Main Aur Ek Tu. It was a homecoming of sorts as Ganjawala is no stranger to the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa platform and his first jingle was a composition by Groovy Guru Leslie Lewis. Speaking to tellychakkar.com, Ganjawala said, "The competition is getting intense and I am waiting to see how the two final jodis fare. The fact that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is quality conscious is undeniable and the race to the finish is going to be one to watch out for."

The fact that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is quality conscious is undeniable and the race to the finish is going to be one to watch out for." "I am recognized the world over as coming from Sa Re Ga Ma..I have been touring abroad on shows and am packed with appointments next few months or I would have loved to be the host till Shaan returns. But, as I am more out of the country now, it would not have been fair to Gajji or me to accept the offer," said Ganjawala on being asked why he chose not to take up the offer to host the show for four weeks. Though Ganjawala started with singing jingles, his playback singing career took off in 2003 with Humdum Suniyo Re from the film Saathiya. But, it was his rendition of Bhege Honth Tere in Murder that had the nation tune in to his distinctive voice. And, there has been no looking back after that. The first round that the jodis sang on this Friday's episode were Ganjawala's hits. He complimented the jodis on singing numbers that even he considered very difficult from the songs he had sung so far. Having guests like Ganjawala on the show is a boost to the jodis as they get first hand tips from these singers who have started out from exactly where they are today.
