MUMBAI: One of the most legendary shows in Indian television history, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, is gearing up for a grand return — and fans are in for a nostalgic yet refreshing ride.

Originally aired on Star Plus, the iconic daily soap created by Ektaa Kapoor became a cultural phenomenon, dominating prime-time slots for eight consecutive years.

The emotional journey of Tulsi and Mihir, played by Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay, became deeply embedded in the hearts of millions across the country.

In a dramatic development, the shoot for the revival has officially begun under Z+ security, with extremely tight protocols in place.

Mobile phone usage on set has been strictly restricted; only Smriti Irani, Amar Upadhyay, and Ektaa Kapoor are permitted to use their devices. All other phones are reportedly being sealed to prevent any leaks or spoilers, underlining the production’s commitment to maintaining secrecy and building anticipation.

This unprecedented level of security reflects just how significant this reboot is for Balaji Telefilms and its devoted fanbase. While the full cast is yet to be revealed, an official announcement is expected soon, promising more familiar faces  or possibly new ones  joining this ambitious revival.
