Balaji Motion pictures, recently launched the new poster of one of the most controversial films of our times, ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’. The poster has created quite a stir amongst people with its bold representation of a lipstick placed as the middle finger. The poster is clearly a mark of retaliation of sorts after all the CBFC hullaballoo against the release of the film. The Prakash Jha film that is now being helmed by Ekta Kapoor, (who is a staunch feminist herself) is definitely packing a heavier punch to pull down all the curtains that were so long hung to hide the female fantasies and we can’t get enough of it.
The team of LUMB has now come up with a campaign which urges everyone to pose with a lipstick as the middle finger for their campaign #LipstickRebellion, and a lot of women are supporting them. Celebs like Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak Shah, Zoya Akhtar and many others have jumped into the bandwagon; they are going all out in their flagrant display of support for the #Lipstickrebellion campaign.
They are shouting out a loud and clear “F**K YOU, to all the pre-conceived notions, the patriarchal conventions, the badmouthing, the body shaming, the hypocrisy, the bigotry, the trolling, and the mindset in its entirety.
