MUMBAI: The captivating episodes of Sony Entertainment Television’s divine saga ' Shrimad Ramayan ,' see Lord Hanuman heroically bring the Sanjeevani herb in time to save Lakshman’s life. This act infuriates Lanka King Ravan, who then commands his son,Indrajit, to use his power to create an illusion of Mata Sita to trick Ram and his army on the battlefield. Obeying his father’s command, Indrajeet beheads Mata Sita in front of Ram and Lakshman to weaken their courage. However, they soon realize that it was not Mata Sita but an illusionary Maya Sita which further fuels Ram and Lakshman’s anger towards Ravan. Engulfed with righteous anger and a desire for justice, Lakshman, on Lord Ram’s order, prepares for the decisive battle against Indrajit, setting the stage for a dramatic confrontation.

Actor Rushiraj Pawar , who portrays Lanka King Ravan’s son, Indrajit, throws light on the ongoing track by saying, “The current storyline is high on drama as it brings out the emotions and dynamics of each character. On one side, Lord Ram is determined to rescue Mata Sita, and on the other hand, Indrajit, as a dutiful son, is driven by a strong desire to protect his father and his territory at any cost. As an actor, it has been an intense experience for me as emoting rage and authority requires a lot of energy and I have enjoyed the process through and through. ”

Tune in to 'Shrimad Ramayan', every Monday to Friday at 9:00 PM, exclusively on Sony Entertainment Television.
