From radio to compering and now acting, Manish Paul has come a long way. This Delhi guy who is currently seen in Star One Choona Hai Aasmaan is very happy to play a parallel lead on NDTV Imagine’s Radha Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi. With his presence there will be a love triangle which will entertain audiences for a long time. “I was called for the audition and got selected for the role of Karan in the show. In the coming episode there will be a love triangle between me, Mona and Apoorva,” says Manish. Elaborating further he explains, “Karan is a photographer who is very passionate about his work but at the same time he is a very chilled out kind of guy. He is a guy who would not like to open the door for a lady as he feels that when they are equal there is no need to do this.” What was the reason for taking up this show? “For the first time I’ll be playing a guy with an attitude. Secondly it’s a love triangle so it makes the whole story more interesting. In the coming episode Mona will fall for me but I don’t take it seriously but realise this much later. This triangular relationship will go on for a long time,” he avers. Why did you quit radio? “Radio needs a lot of time and due to my hectic shooting schedule I was not able to concentrate on it. Radio has given me everything. Because of it I’m very good at dialogue delivery and it has also helped me in my diction,” he informs. Is there anything on the Bollywood front? “Well I’m going through some scripts but nothing has been finalised as yet. I refuse to do cameos in films as I would like to opt for the main lead only. Let’s see what happens,” he concludes. Well Manish if films don’t happen the doors of television are always open!
