Rajesh Chaddha and Saurabh Srivastava’s Panglosean Entertainment’s Phir Subah Hogi (Zee TV) has an interesting and unique concept which highlights the practice of Sar Dhakaai prevalent in North India. The show hit the screens on 17th of this month (April 2012), and it has a strong star cast which includes names like, Narayani Shastri, Varun Badola, Anuj Sachdeva, amongst others. And to add more firepower to the plot, the makers have joined hands with Mamta Luthra. Mamta was last seen in Balaji’s Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (Sony Entertainment Television).
In Phir Subah…, she will be seen as Vikram Singh’s (Varun Badola) dai maa. If sources are to be believed then her character is inspired from that of Ila Arun’s from Ashutosh Gowarikar’s film Jodha Akbar. She will be an important person in Vikram’s life. Vikram will be very obedient towards her. Furthermore, dai maa will be subtle in nature and a very strong individual having a certain degree of control over people around her.
“Yes, I am a part of the show. It is a very interesting character and I have already started shooting,” confirmed Mamta to Tellychakkar.com.
She is expected to enter in the fifth episode.
