MUMBAI: This week on Indian Idol, judges Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Badshah are joined by the cast of Loveyapa, debut actors Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor , in a special episode themed “Celebrating Evergreen Songs.” Idol contestant 'Idol ki Crazy Girl' Manasi Ghosh delivers a breathtaking rendition of ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ from the movie Tees Maar Khan, leaving the audience in awe and earning a standing ovation.
Shreya Ghoshal praises Manasi for her unique style and vibrant energy, comparing her performance to Shakira's flair. She even suggests that Manasi may be ready for the international stage. Badshah, equally mesmerized, dubs Manasi a ‘rockstar’ and believes she is destined for a massive fan following.
Impressed by her performance, Vishal Dadlani shares that his collaborator Shekhar would be thrilled to hear her version. He invites Manasi to join him and Shekhar on stage in Pune on March 2nd, calling it an “opportunity of a lifetime.” “Come on tour with us!” he exclaims.
In a heartwarming conversation with actress Khushi Kapoor, Manasi asks if she would ever consider remaking one of her late mother Sridevi's films. Khushi responds that she wouldn’t want to remake any of her mother’s movies, as she wishes to preserve Sridevi’s legacy.
