MUMBAI: Vimarsh Roshan, who plays Digvijay Maheshwari in Pukaar: Dil Se Dil Tak, produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah under their banner LSD Studios, is eagerly awaiting the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi. However, after spending over 15 years in the industry, he shared that he feels more connected to the celebrations on-screen than in real life.
He said, “In my career, I’ve celebrated many festivals and attended more weddings in the shows I’ve been a part of than in real life. Many times, you feel more connected or get into a celebratory mood on set compared to real life. Sometimes, the reel feels real, and the real feels like reel for an artist. (Laughs)”
Although he mentioned there’s no change in the show's storyline regarding the festival, they do follow rituals on set.
“There’s no abrupt or disruptive storyline change as far as I know. Also, the current drama in the storyline is peaking, which should keep the audience engaged. Every day, we start the shoot with a Ganpati puja on set. Any cast or crew members who bring Ganpati home during the festival invite others for darshan, and people love to visit with purity and warmth,” he added.
Vimarsh also shared that he enjoys visiting family and friends during this time, saying, “Work comes first, and everyone in this profession lives by that belief. But visiting friends and relatives for darshan is something I really enjoy.”
As for his plans for this year’s celebration? “No specific plans. I live day by day and in the present moment. Ganpati Bappa Morya!” he concluded.
