The talented Mark Parakh, who impressed scores of viewers with his powerful roles in Khotey Sikkey, Dekha Ek Khwab and Main Naa Bhoolungi, is also an immensely talented pianist.
And now combining both his talents, the actor is all set to take to the stage for a solo musical play titled Asmanjas Babu Ki Atmakatha. The act will also have Mark playing live piano along with his act.
Incidentally, the play received a standing ovation at the recently concluded Kala Ghoda Festival 2014 and also at Delhi's Alliance Francaise Auditorium.
The act will now be shown on 15 and 16 March at Haute Haveli, Andheri, Mumbai.
When we buzzed Mark to get more details, he said, “It’s a very beautiful concept and am really looking forward for the same. We already got a great response from our earlier shows so let’s see how this one goes by. It’s really a different high playing the piano and acting simultaneously on stage.”
Asmanjas Babu Ki Atmakatha is based on Satyajit Ray's short story Asmanjas Babu and His Dog. It is a modern day fable of an unknown club musician with a beautiful soul and an immense curiosity about life, especially the way it has been treating him. The performance is embellished with music and poetry and forces a great deal of introspection.
“The act, directed by NSD graduate and ex Dean of Anupam Kher's acting institute 'Actor Prepares' Yashraj Jadhav, has been dramatized by Anju Jaitley who is also a NSD graduate. So, in all, I have all talented people around me and thus such a great response (smiles)," the actor added.
Well Mark, we at Tellychakkar.com would like to wish you all the best!
