MUMBAI: An invisible war is on between Mayur Verma and Devoleena Bhattacharjee is on since the time Mayur lashed out at the actress for saying that Shehnaaz Gill (Mayur's close freind) and Sidharth Shukla's chemistry in their single didn't impress her much. 

Things took an ugly turn when the Mujhse Shaadi Karoge contestant filed a cybercrime complaint against Devoleena for tarnishing his image and supporting tweets that trolled him. This definitely  didn't go well with the actress as in her multiple tweets she indicated that a person is trying to gain some limelight using her name. In her statements to the media, she indicated that Mayur is a nobody and she doesn't even know about him.

Now, Mayur told a media portal, 'I am surprised that she is saying that she doesn't know me. Well, then just to refresh her memory, I am the person to whom she had said in one of her earlier social media posts that "show mein shaadi nahi hui to ye pagal hogaya hai." This is when I took a stand for my friend Shehnaaz Gill when she was making allegations that Sidnaaz fans are abusing her and her family for commenting on Shehnaaz and Sidharth's chemistry. I also read her post yesterday saying ki media se request hai koi mujhse ispar sawal na pooche and khud jawaab bhi de diya.'

While talking to a section of media, after shooting the unnamed tweets, Devoleena had said, 'Honestly, I don’t know who this Mayur Verma is and why he is using my name everywhere. It could be a publicity stunt. I believe ignorance is bliss. Neither do I know this person nor about the complaint. Honestly, I don’t want to be tagged with (those) who I don’t even know and if my name is doing any good to him or anyone, then god bless them.'
