Media Buzz: Parth levels molestation charges against ‘mentor’ Vikas Gupta

Ask the tinsel town who is controversy’s favourite child? And the answer will be unanimously Parth Samthaan.

Parth, who rose to fame with Vikas Gupta’s show Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan, has always made headlines for his actions. From his issues with co-star Niti Taylor to walking out of the show to throwing tantrums on the sets, this young, charming lad has been in the news.

This time things seem to be turning out a bit more serious.

Recently, we reported about Parth creating a scandalous WhatsApp group along with his co-actors, where they swapped notes on women they bedded and the details of their activities (Read HERE).

Post our news piece, a report published in a leading daily suggested that Parth has now got into a legal battle with his mentor, Vikas Gupta (producer and programming head of &TV).

As per the report, Parth has sent a legal notice to Vikas accusing him of molestation, threats to ruin his career and non-payment of dues. According to the complaint filed at Versova Police Station, Parth accused Vikas of physically harassing him back in 2013. He has also charged Vikas for not clearing his payment of Rs 5,50,000 for working in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (from the stables of Vikas’s Lost Boy Productions).

The article also mentions that the two continued working in several projects inspite of the alleged molestation charges in 2013.

Parth was quoted saying that his only allegation against Vikas is that he has not cleared his due payments and has also threatened of ruining his career. Parth also mentioned that Vikas asked for a ransom of Rs 50,00,000. He denied of filing any molestation complaint.

While Parth did share his comments on the entire development, Vikas remained tight lipped about the same. However, Vikas’s lawyer has released a statement to media stating that the charges put against Vikas shows his professional incompetence and puts him in a negative light. Vikas will soon take legal action and a defamation case will be filed against Parth.

On the other hand, the investigating officer of Versova Police Station said that all the charges are mostly based on professional grounds and they are still investigating the matter.
