Young actor Rahul Tomar who has been part of a lot of shows like Jamuna Paar, The Buddy Project, Gustakh Dil and episodic like Arjun, Savdhan India and Crime Patrol is majorly known for playing negative characters in TV shows.

When asked about why he loves doing negative characters and what attracts him to them, he quipped, I find negative characters very playful because of the scope of experiments and variation in acting styles. I like to reinvent my acting techniques and playing different negative characters gives me the job satisfaction.”

So do you count yourself as the new baddie in TV town, Rahul stated, I have been playing negative characters since 2011 and people recognize me with my baddie image. So I do agree that I am a baddie in TV town but I am turning old and gold with experience which excites me.”

Who is your inspiration behind this? “Well, human behaviour is my inspiration. I like to observe people in different phases of emotion and I try to showcase different shades of human behaviour through my acting skills. That keeps me Inspired and motivated enough. I am living my dream by portraying various shades,” he added.

Are you inspired by any Bollywood actor? Rahul shared, “Yes, I do get excited after watching stunning performances by the actors in B-town but I have always been a follower of Irrfan Khan. Self exploration is the only thing which inspires me.”

So what is the reason that you don't do positive roles? Have you ever played positive character? He said, Well, people recognize me more into negative characters but I have played positive characters too. While shooting for Life OK’s Gustakhi Dil, I was playing a character which was full of life and a positive one. Like I said I love to explore the shades of Human personality and want to showcase them with my acting styles. It was a successful experiment.”

Lastly, tell us who your role model is in real life, “When I talk about my role model, my parent’s name pop up in my mind. They have nourished me with the values of righteous which makes me the man I am and they are proud of me but I am also aware of the fact that there is a long way to go and I am all set for it,” ended the actor.
