Mitali Nag goes house hunting on her birthday

Though people may have a busy schedule the entire year, they do make it a point to take time out for their birthdays. In fact, they also try to celebrate it with fanfare. But Mitali Nag, the protagonists in Raakesh Paswan's Afsar Bitiya, had something else on her mind, this birthday. This talented actress celebrated her natal day yesterday (18 March 2012). However, just like any other birthday girl Mitali did not commemorate the occasion in the typical manner. But what is the reason behind this? Here’s the answer. Apparently, ever since this beautiful actress moved to Mumbai, she had been staying along with a friend. So this birthday, she decided to get herself an abode finally. “Ever since I moved to Mumbai, I had been living with a friend of mine. Because of my daily shooting schedule, I hardly get any time to look out for an apartment. Plus it is very difficult for a single girl to get a good apartment on rent in Mumbai.” But the good news is that her search in now over. She has found a house in Mumbai. “I am very happy that I finally have my own apartment (2 BHK) in Versova,” she beams. In fact, this story is not devoid of drama as real life imitated reel life. Virendra Saxena, who plays her father in Afsar Bitiya, came to her rescue. “Virendra Saxena who plays my father in the show helped in finding an apartment for me,” says Mitali. She has got the possession of the house all thanks to her onscreen father who made sure Mitali got her apartment yesterday itself. After completing the legalities of her house, she went on the sets of the show. “But I didn’t know that the Producer of our show Raakeshji had planned a surprise for me. He along with the entire star cast threw a surprise party for me on the sets. I cut a cake and then resumed shooting. So it was a nice experience altogether,” ends Mitali.
