We recently broke the news about Balaji Telefilms bringing a new show tentatively titled Bhagyalakshmi on Zee TV. The show will be a love story of an educated doctor and a village girl. 

It will revolve around a simple and loving girl getting married to a millionaire, who doesn’t believe in fate. She will be heartbroken to know that their union is only a treachery by their families.

There were reports about makers in talks with Shaheer Sheikh and Eisha Singh to play the lead roles.

Now, as per the latest development, we hear that makers are looking out for other options and have shortlisted few actors and one of them is actress Monal Gajjar. She has predominantly appeared in Gujarati, Telugu and Tamil language films and rose to fame with ZEE5’s Kaagaz.

Our sources inform that makers are quite keen to have Mona on board to play the female protagonist.

We could not get through Monal for a comment.

Let’s wait and watch if Monal gets lucky to bag the show!

Balaji Telefilms currently produces list of shows namely Yeh Hai Chahatein on Star Plus, Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya, Brahmarakshas 2 on Zee TV, Molkki and Kuch Toh Hai: Naagin Ek Naye Rang Mein on Colors and Prem Bandhan on Dangal TV.
