MUMBAI: Roopa Divatia is all set to join Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. The veteran actress has been shooting through the pandemic and was in Goa for her previous show. She told a portal, "I am not scared of dying. I came from Goa in between the schedule of my show just to get the second dose of my vaccination for COVID. I take all the necessary precautions required. I wear a double mask and take a hot water shower every time I come back home. I am following all the safety precautions laid down by the government. Even though I am a diabetic and a hypertension patient, I am not scared. I want to continue working. It gives me a kick. I am glad that we actors do not have any retirement age. The appreciation and recognition that we get from people around after watching us on-screen keeps us motivated to be in front of the camera."
Nonetheless, she added that she has lost many near and dear ones, including friends and colleagues, some of who are very young. She added how this is the worst phase of her life.
The actress will be replacing Dimple Shaw Chauhan in the show and will be seen playing the role of Mansi Salonkhe, a widow and Samrath's mother. Talking about the same, she shared that she has watched the show sometimes and hence knows the tracks and has an idea about her character. In addition, she mentioned that the sets were near that of Kumkum Bhagya in Goa.
Ask her if she feels content on television is regressive and what she thinks about it as someone who has been in the industry for so long, and she mentions that it is not regressive but it is different from what is available on the web.
