MUMBAI: The acting world might look glamorous but the journey here is always not easy. Not often but sometimes a few television celebrities have openly talked about being jobless during their career. Take a look at some popular names from the television world who talked about being jobless.  

Shaheer Sheikh: Shaheer Sheikh, popular for shows like Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi, revealed that he was jobless for almost a year. The actor, who recently became a father, spoke about the same to an online portal. He talked about the time when he turned to photography to earn his living because he had no work. “There was a big gap between Navya and Mahabharat when I had switched to photography. I started doing photography,” he said.

Nia Sharma: The actress, who was recently seen in Bigg Boss OTT, also opened up about being unemployed for almost a year post Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. The actress shared that there was a gap of almost nine months after which she got Jamai Raja. She revealed about those difficult days and said that she doesn’t want to experience such a time ever again.

Ronit Roy: The actor once revealed that he was jobless for as many as four years in a row. The actor revealed that he went into depression during those days and even turned into an alcoholic. He shared that he would make money by making guest appearances on TV shows, which would make him earn Rs 2000-3000 every three to four months.

The actor, who is one of the most popular faces on TV today, didn’t have any work for a year before he signed Taarak Mehta. He shared that this happened when the show he was a part of prior to Taarka went off-air and then he didn’t get an offer for any other project.

Sumona Chakravarti: The actress who is currently seen in The Kapil Sharma Show talked about being unemployed in a note she shared on social media. The actress made a post on Instagram and talked about having no work but still feeling privileged to be able to feed herself and her family. Sumona also talked about battling endometriosis for years now. A part of her long note read, “I may be unemployed & yet am able to feed my family & myself.”
