MUMBAI: Star Plus’ Anupamaa is one of the most popular television serials.
Produced by Rajan Shahi under Director's Kut Productions, it stars Rupali Ganguly in the titular role of Anupamaaa. Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma, Paras Kalnawat, Aashish Mehrotra, Muskaan Bamne, Arvind Vaidya, Alpana Buch, Nidhi Shah, Tasneem Sheikh are an integral part of the narrative.
Talking about Nidhi Shah, she is playing the role of Kinjal in Anupamaa. The actress recently shot for an intense sequence which revolved around an incident of sexual harassment at the workplace. Recently, viewers saw on the show how her character Kinjal and the lead protagonist Anupamaa played by Rupali Ganguly take a stand against sexual harassment and expose the person behind it. The recent track grabbed many eyeballs and was most discussed. Sharing her thoughts about laws for women, Nidhi Shah told Times Of India, “We need to break away from gender stereotypes. Stricter laws for all workplaces should be a norm. Everyone needs to feel safe.”

During the interview, the actress was asked about the emotion she was going through while portraying the character and she said, “Honestly, I am very much like Kinjal in my everyday life. Yes, we all have such days, reminding you about some toxic moments, that is also how I navigated this character.”
When she was asked if she ever faced something like this in her personal life, she said, “No Industry is void of such experiences. We are all bullied at some point in our lives. From the time we are born, to school, work, family.”
