My fans are happy that Sanskaar is ending as they want to see me in a different shade now: Jay Soni

An end comes with a new beginning!! And this is what Jay Soni, the protagonist of Colors’ Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki is hoping for. As our loyal readers would know, it is time for Sanskaar to wrap up!! Also, this will mean that Jay will finally get some time-off to tread on his long-pending honeymoon with wife Pooja. Says Jay, “Yes, the plan for our honeymoon has been put in place. We will be going to Spain in the month of July.” Ask him whether the sudden decision to wrap up Sanskaar has left him in shock, and the actor does not mince words to say, “I always had this feeling that Sanskaar would go off air one day because it was not doing that great. But it was really shocking that it is going off air in such a short span.” However, the actor is happy and contented on Sanskaar being on for two seasons. Talking about his memories from both seasons of the show, Jay avers, “Season one was really exciting and I really enjoyed it. Sanskaar was the only show which got shot in America. The best part of the show was that the script was male-oriented. When the Season 2 came up, viewers were not really aware that the show has gotten back on the same timing. This lead to the drop in TRPs. Though the show did not get a good response number-wise, I got a good response from people.” Speaking about the kind of shows he would want to do next, he states, “Well, my fans want me to come back as an anchor. They miss my hosting in SaReGaMaPa. Actually, they are very happy that Sanskaar is ending as they want to see me in a different shade now. I plan to take up something different as I want to perform and don’t want to work just for the sake of working.” On his idea about taking up any reality show, Jay quips, “I would love to do a reality show, especially Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. I would also love to anchor reality shows.” Jay, we hope you get back soon in a new avatar.
