All Nach Baliye fans, rejoice for your favorite celebrity couple dance reality show which recently wrapped up on Star Plus will be back soon. According to Nachiket Pantvaidya, General Manager, Star Plus, “This property will never die easily on the channel and we will bring it back in the next 6/7months in some or the other format. We plan to air this show every year at least in 2 variants like this time we had in the form of Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye Shriman v/s Shrimati.” The success of Nach Baliye has encouraged Star to have one more dance reality show India’s Dancing Super Star. “Here we wish to have a mix of structured and unstructured dancing and explore dancing as viewer experience format. The audition rounds have thrown up great raw talent and personal stories. This combination works for people, not only do want to see raw talent, but also know the stories behind it. Many contestants don’t want to win, but just want a platform to showcase their talent. We have a 60 plus lady who hasn’t told her family that she is going to dance,” the channel GM avers. When asked as to why they chose Riteish Desmukh as a judge (Geeta Kapur and Ashley Lobo are other two judges), when they could have got a better Bollywood dancer to officiate, Nachiket says that he will not look at the technical aspects, but at the overall entertainment package as Sajid Khan did in Nach Baliye 5. Before he could sign out, Nachiket says that he was not afraid of launching the above new show in the face of IPL (Indian Premier League ), “for not only GECs (General Entertainment Channels) have learnt to live with this T20 annual phenomena, but are also confident of the fact that there is a certain section of audience which will never dessert us and we have to cater to them,” Nachiket concludes.
