TV industry’s first wedding of the year will take place very soon. Actors’ Nandish Sandhu and Rashmi Desai are all set to get married with fanfare on 12 February 2012. The couple is already married (9 February 2011) legally; so the current ceremony will be conducted as per traditions. In fact, the wedding will take place in Dholpur, Rajasthan as it is Nandish’s hometown. Even though the couple is already married; they will not reach the wedding destination together. Nandish will reach there on 7 February 2012 by airways and roadways as there is no direct flight to Dholpur. However, Rashmi will be following him with her entire family on 10 February 2012 by railways. The sangeet ceremony will take place in Mumbai. “Since my cousins are busy on my wedding day, they won’t be able to make it there. That is why I will be organizing this ceremony especially for them,” says the bride to be Rashmi. But the exact date hasn’t been finalized yet. On the other hand, the other ceremonies will take place in Dholpur. 11 February will have ring ceremony. And the immediate next day, the wedding will take place. Though the D-day is just 11 days away, the preparations are still on. In fact, Rashmi tells Tellychakkar.com that while she has bought most of her wedding clothes from Delhi, she is not done with shopping yet. “I loved shopping in Delhi, as you have a wide variety available there,” says the actress. However, shopping was not the only motive, for Rashmi to visit the capital city. “I had to meet my paternal uncle there,” reveals the petite actress. She consulted her uncle to know more about wedding rituals. “I have no idea about rituals and since we are doing a ritual based wedding, I want everything to be just right,” gushes Rashmi. That’s the bride’s part of the story; now let’s hear it from the groom. Nandish is equally busy and has shopped for most of the necessary things. “I have just been shopping for the things that my family keeps reminding me,” says the actor. However, no celebrity would be a part of this wedding, since the venue is far off, but Nandish plans to throw a party as soon as the couple comes back to Mumbai. In fact, it will be celebration time for the days following thereon. “We are getting married on 12 and its Rashmi’s birthday on the next day. And 14 February is Valentine’s Day, so it is going to be a week of celebration. For the B-day, I have planned a surprise for Rashmi, but would like to keep it under wraps,” he smiles. Here’s wishing the couple a great life ahead.
