Naved Aslam and Preetika Rao bond over 'music' during the Eid shoot on Colors' Beintehaa

Naved Aslam and Preetika Rao
The actors of Colors’ Beintehaa (Fortune Productions) had a gala time celebrating Eid on the show. This Eid special episode which will be aired this Monday, 28 July will have a lot of song and dance performances coming from the lead actors of the channel. Well, the Eid Special episode shoot also brought together two great lovers of music. And they happen to be the Sasur-Bahu combination of Naved Aslam and Preetika Rao who essay the roles of Osman and Aaliya respectively in Beintehaa. We hear that Naved and Preetika bonded too very well while the Eid shoot was going on. Their common interest for retro songs did prompt them to spend quality time together. During the breaks, the two kept humming songs aloud. Some of the songs they literally hummed happen to be Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si, Churaliya, Baahon Ke Darmiya, Saamne Yeh Kaun Aaya. Also, their interaction was melodious, more for the fact that both the actors have had a professional training in Indian classical music. When contacted Naved, he said, “Given a choice in my personal life, I would prefer to hear Indian classical and western classical music. Also, my liking towards the opera culture is more. I have trained in Indian classical music and have been part of many musicals in my 25 years of theatre experience.” When asked about his bonding over music with co-actor Preetika, the man said, “Yes, it is so very nice to see youngsters like Preetika showing interesting in classical music. She is again a trained singer and we spent time identifying the various ‘raags’, especially the raag Yaman Kalyan which is the easiest to identify.” The senior actor also observed, “Music also helps in having a sense of rhythm, which will eventually help an actor in dialogue delivery.” Three cheers to this musical bonding!!
