Naveen Prabhakar, who shot to fame with The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, has stepped foot into Bollywood. Unlike his fellow Laughter Challenge colleagues, Naveen has been chosen to play the lead in two films.
An ecstatic Naveen says, “I play the lead in two films; one is Ram Gopal Verma’s Mujhe Ramuji Ko Milna Hai and the other is Suresh Jain’s Saturday night. The former is a social drama based on the lives of aspiring actors while the latter is an out and out comedy. Unfortunately, I can’t reveal many details.”

Post Laughter Challenge, Naveen seldom made any appearances on comedy shows which fuelled speculation whether he’s quit the industry. Naveen explains, “I deliberately didn’t want to over expose myself. Besides, I’ve always been an actor first. I only indulged in stand-up comedy to get the necessary exposure.”
So in case his filmy career flops, Naveen certainly has stand-up comedy to fall back upon.
