MUMBAI: Star Plus' show, Nazar, was one of the most popular drama series on television. The show has managed to keep the viewers hooked to the TV screens with its thrilling and spine-chilling content.
Nazar has managed to win the hearts of the viewers. The show which started airing in July 2018 and starred Monalisa, Harsh Rajput and Niyati Fatnani in the leading roles.

The show garnered a lot of love and attention for its intriguing story and plot line. Not only that, there were also quite some memes which were circulated around the internet for its supernatural drama and they are enjoyed till date.

The show was based on the concept of Mohana, a 251-year-old daayan, was able to prolong her parasitic existence by sapping her victims' life-force. Residing in Bhandap, she seduces businessman Mridul Rathod and finally marries him.
They have two children: Ansh and Kajal. As Mohana helps her husband accumulate enormous money via the use of evil wizardry, she gradually saps his vigour, eventually leading to his premature death.
Divya neutralizes Mohana's malicious influence by removing her plait, rendering her helpless. Mohana then flees into the woods, but they chase her, accompanied by a throng of peasants waving torches. Mohana was set on fire after being trapped, causing her to turn to stone. Divya places Mohana in a coffin inside a temple, protected by powerful mantras. Shortly after these occurrences, Divya unexpectedly vanishes. Vedashree and her husband, Shekhar Rathod, have adopted Ansh and Kajal.
Mohana's nazar, however, continues to haunt the family because she is a one-of-a-kind and extremely powerful Daayan known as Ekayaan.
