MUMBAI: Neil Bhatt has become a household name for his character Virat Chavan in Star Plus' popular drama series Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.
Neil has been appreciated nationwide for his role and also his camaraderie with the show's leading ladies Aishwarya Sharma and Ayesha Singh became a huge hit. And Neil and Aishwarya found love on the show as well.
The actor quit the show post the leap and then participated in the number on reality show Bigg Boss Season 17 along with his wife Aishwarya Sharma.
He was one of the most sorted contestants with so much patience and grace and played the game with dignity.
But unfortunately his game came to an end and he was eliminated owing to less votes and his journey came to an end.
Neil these days is making headlines for as he is the lead of COLORS upcoming show Megha Barsenge where he essays the role of IAS Arjun Talwar.
TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor and asked him if he thinks that he is getting stereotyped because of the roles he is choosing and reveals which is his favourite show.
Do you think that you are getting stereotyped since last time you played a police officer and now an IAS officer?
None of my characters looked like I was repeating another character and the previous was written in such a way that he could do anything and I played it in such a way and the flexibility that Virat's character had is what the audience connected too and my producer told me when I sit to write the scene I realized that with Virat I could have made him do anything and it was the biggest challenge and I am not able to do it with other character and this character of Virat can do everything and he won't be wrong.
I felt lucky I could play this role as he is so correct and he is a true human and the same with Arjun. Whenever I am offered an officer role where they are disciplined and all and I have got too much to play with the character and is very flexible and he keeps pulling everyone's leg and he has no filter.
Do you believe in improvisation and then we have seen if you have an issue you go and put across your points?
For that you have to come on my sets and see how I perform because in every scene I improvise and whatever I did till now every scene I have changed in the scene as in as an actor what I have brought in to the scene, as its written by a writer and I need to give it a touch as an actor. So I discuss with my director and only if they like we keep it or else we change it.
Until now which show is your favourite?
Gulaal will always be my special show as that was the show where I started to learn a new craft and I have a lot of memories from that show. The current show that I am doing, they are technicians who worked on Gulaal and now are part of this show and it's very special, the way the characters were written and the storyline is still fresh in my mind. My fans also remember that show and if you remember the show after so many years then it will always be special.
Well, there is no doubt that the fans are super excited to see Neil Bhatt in the new show in a completely new avtar.
Stay tuned to TellyChakkar for more updates!
