News from the sets: Aasiya Kazi and Kunal Karan Kapoor hurt while shooting a "mucky" scene

If you were ever of the opinion that acting is an easy task like putting butter on a piece of bread, then you need to think twice. As a performing artist, one might need to waddle in swamps and puddles of dirty water during monsoons, if the script demands. And two bright actors from Colors’ Na Bole Tum... Na Maine Kuch Kaha Season 2 (Sunshine Productions) learnt it the hard way yesterday on the sets of the show while filming a scene. Both young birds got hurt, much to their chagrin and discomfort. “I had to stand in a knee deep puddle. I missed seeing a big stone and stamped on it. It was painful and it’s still hurting. But I did not take a break from shooting as the show must always go on,” shared Aasiya with Tellychakkar.com. Does she not think that it is unsafe to shoot in dirty waters especially during rains? “I know but then we are actors and we have to do what we are told. Not only me even Kunal has hurt himself and has got rashes all over his body due to the filthy water,” added Aasiya. When contacted, Kunal confirmed about his “rashy” situation and said, “Yes, I have rashes all over my body as the water wasn’t hygienic. I have also been running fever for the past three days. Looking at my condition the production finally gave me an off today.” Is the production house responsible for not looking into the actor’s safety? “I wouldn’t blame anybody. It’s just that we don’t have episodes in bank, and when in hurry, such things happen.” We also called up producer Sudhir Sharma for a comment but he remained unavailable.
