Not very fond of travelling: Manas Shah

Manas

MUMBAI: Manas Shah, who has been a part of shows Humari Devrani, Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanumaan, Yeh Hai Chahatein, and was recently seen in Tulsi—Hamari Badi Sayani, is disappointed that his last show went off air so soon, but he plans to utilise this time off with his family.

Asked if he would be travelling during this time, he said, "I am not very fond of travelling. I am more of a homebody—I prefer staying in rather than constantly being on the move. For me, spending quality time with my loved ones is more important, whether at home or while travelling. So, I don’t mind where I am as long as I am with the people who matter."

He also confessed that his sleep schedule and workout routine were affected, and he plans to work on them now.

"Over the past 6-8 months, I had switched to intermittent fasting, started sleeping early, and waking up early—it had become a proper routine. But due to my shooting schedule, everything got disturbed. Now, I really want to get things back on track and focus on my health again. Instead of travelling, my priority right now is restoring my routine and taking better care of my well-being," he said.

Manas is a workaholic and when he is working nothing can distract him. He said, "When I am working, I am completely focused on my work. During that time, I don’t have the chance to talk to friends, meet them, spend time with family, or even maintain my health and fitness routine. Work takes up all my energy, and when I’m not working, I’m either too tired or catching up on sleep. But when I do get free time, my first priority is always my health, both physical and mental. I make sure to focus on it with full dedication."

"My second priority is making up for the responsibilities I couldn’t fulfil while I was busy. As a son, brother, and friend, I try to spend quality time with my family and friends, check in on them, and reconnect. I believe in balancing three main pillars of life: health, career, and relationships. Everything important fits into these categories. Finances are a part of a career, relationships include family, love, and friendships, and health matters not just for myself but also for my loved ones. Right now, my focus is on spending time with the people who truly matter in my life," he added.

He is now looking for roles that help him grow as an actor. "No artist is ever perfect—we can only improve day by day. Acting is like an ocean; no matter how much you take from it, there’s always more to learn. I want to challenge myself with roles that push me to become better," he said.

"I would love to play a romantic lead in a heartfelt love story, which I think would be an amazing and interesting experience. Another role I am keen on is a clean, light-hearted comedy where I can make the audience laugh and bring joy to family viewers. So right now, my mind is set on either a romantic lead role or a strong comedic character, something fresh and exciting," he concluded.
