Now it’s the reality of cooking

After dancing and singing, acting, adventure, and what have you - one more genre has been tapped for a reality show. This time it’s cooking. A new cooking reality show titled Mallika – e- kitchen will launch on Colors from July 12 at 12 noon. The show which is a cooking contest between housewives will air every Sunday. The show is produced by Group M ESP. The show will have celeb chef Kaviraj Khiliani who will throw a challenge to the participants where they will have to cook in either the traditional or modern style of cooking (using the microwave). The chef will mentor them and only watch them as they cook. He will not judge them but will prepare them for their presentation. The winner of the week will get a microwave. The show will be hosted by Shruti Seth. A source on the show informs, “The show is basically a competition between microwave cooking and gas cooking. About four episodes have already been shot. Ofcourse the show will have its share of celebs on the show who will judge the cooking. Each show will have a different judge. Actors like Sudha Shivpuri, Aman Verma, Roshni Chopra, Mona Singh will be the celeb judges. The format of the show is such that the chef will guide them on their chosen recipe and leave the judging to the celebs.” Bon Apetit!
