MUMBAI: One of the popular comedy shows The Kapil Sharma Show hosted by comedian Kapil Sharma is liked by everyone. Kapil started his journey with Comedy Nights With Kapil which successfully completed its 500 episodes and became an instant hit with audiences, who loved the show's concept, characters, and one-liners, which tickled their funny bones in a big way.
Kapil's show has reached this milestone, and the actor-comedian has opened up on how it all started and when he had to close it down.

Kapil spoke with RJ Nishant about the moment his show was taken off the air.He informed him that at that time he stopped trusting people as they would say something on his face and something else behind his back. He said , “ I shut my show down even though nobody asked me to do so.”
Kapil went on to say that his mother, who is a "innocent person from a village," had no idea what mental illness was and only learned about it through the media.

He also mentioned that his wife Ginny was a rock-solid supporter who encouraged him to return to the small screen.
Kapil also revealed that he got the idea for his comedy talk- show after he was called to the channel’s office to host a Colors show Jhalak Dhiklaa Jaa.
