MUMBAI: Indian Idol 12 fame Anjali Gaikwad is facing accusations from a popular influencer, whose ID on Twitter is Harami Parindey, for trying to hack his Instagram account and make money by duping him. However, Anjali reportedly claims that her Instagram account has been hacked since April 2.
Anjali told a national daily that her account has been compromised for 20-21 days and the hacker has asked her for a ransom of Rs 70,000 over a call. The case is now with cybercrime but there's been no update on it.

Meanwhile, Harami Parindey has put screenshots of the messages he received from Anjali's verified account asking him to put the email ID sent by them (her PR team) on his Instagram account for registration.
He shared a screenshot of the same and wrote alongside, "Indian Idol contestant trying to trick people on Instagram from a verified account."

The influencer also refused to believe that it was a hacked account as the conversation has been going on for a long and verified accounts get retrieved quicker on reporting.
Anjali told the national daily that she is aware that the hacker is asking for money from people, misleading many to think she is fooling them. But she said she is trying to inform as many people as possible that it's not her.
